I began writing at a relatively early age. I wrote quite a few short stories throughout elementary and middle school and found a large appreciation for books in general—both reading and writing them. I attempted writing a novel around 5th grade, but despite putting a fair amount of effort and love into it, I quickly found the plot faulty and bland. I dropped my pen and put my reading glasses on for the next couple of years. During that time, my imagination soared and characters of my own appeared in my head. They went on various adventures and eventually filled most of my daydreams.

When I was twelve, my father noticed their consistent presence in my drawings. He asked me about them, and at some point, it became obvious just how developed their background stories were—they weren’t just lines of colored pencil, they had lives in my head. My father suggested writing their stories down and so the For the Intended trilogy was born. It wasn’t long until the project was up on a frequently updated blog. After a few years, the story was “finished,” so I pulled it off the internet in preparation for publication. The ginormous file sat on my desktop for around a year since I didn’t really know how to approach editing—I got some done, but not enough, and certainly not the quality it was craving. Finally, I felt that I had waited long enough—it was time. I took a gap year between high school and college for a time of dedication, and I’m thrilled to say that I published my trilogy this weekend! It has been a fantastic journey, and I’m not planning to stop writing anytime soon. I have a list of story ideas lined up that belong to several different genres, and I’m ecstatic to explore them now that my firstborn has hit the market.

I hope you love the characters and the story as much as I do!
